What would be good start a Hampton inn or your own hotel?

I want to have my own Hotel. I want to get money and have a nice hotel to. What can I do. Plus I like Hampton hotels but is just to much money.What would be good start a Hampton inn or your own hotel?
If you were to do a Hampton or some other hotel franchise you'd have the power of a brand name behind you as well as the corporate reservation system, advertising, etc.





The downside is that you'd have to conform to some contractual obligations from whomever you choose to purchase the franchise from. As well as any franchise fees. If you're using their name they get a say in what standards must be maintained.





If you were to do the hotel yourself you'll need to make sure you have a system where you actually show up on reservation booking systems like, travelocity, orbitz, other internet hotel reservation systems, travel agencies, etc. It helps also to have a good market (for example: a hotel located outside of a military base which has basic training graduations every Friday, such as Ft. Jackson in Columbia SC, etc).
